Don’t forget the inspection!
Muistakatsastus.fi service can help! Please, leave your information as a private or business customer, and we will remind you of the upcoming inspection a few weeks before the final inspection date of your vehicle. You may also win a gift card!

How do the reminders work?
We send reminders when the vehicle’s inspection interval is approaching its end. When a customer has been identified, they receive a reminder message through via their chosen medium. For information provided before 2025, we prioritize sending emails instead of text messages, which means that if the customer has given permission for both electronic channels before 2025, we will only send the message via email.
When a customer changes vehicle, a reminder is sent for the new vehicle when it’s time for its inspection, meaning we take into account that people may change cars. Private individuals therefore don’t need to enter all their cars in the customer register, instead we retrieve from Traficom’s database the vehicle that is registered in each customer’s name, and when it’s time for inspection, we approach with a reminder.
Why haven’t I received a reminder message? Perhaps we haven’t been able to identify you.
We process your personal data with your permission according to general legislation and our privacy policy. In order to contact you with a message, we need to identify you, and this is done against Traficom’s vehicle information system. This way, we can be ensured that each customer receives their own reminder and not someone else’s. If you haven’t received a reminder, the reason might be found below.
Please check the most common reasons below and try to add your information again.
You cannot receive an inspection reminder if:
- you have prohibited the disclosure of your data at Traficom. In that case, your information cannot be processed. Please remove the ban if you want to receive reminders from us.
- the registration number is incorrectly entered or you are not the vehicle’s owner or holder. Vehicle information is used to identify you.
- there were too many discrepancies in the provided address. Name and address information must match what’s in the population data system. Errors include incorrect characters, missing characters or extra characters. Information should be provided without abbreviations and in your native language.
- the postal code has been incorrect
- the email address has been incorrect and/or hasn’t been verified (confirmation email arrives after filling out the form). The most common errors are incorrect suffixes such as @hotmail.fi or @gmail.fi
- the phone number is incorrect or the message has gone to someone else’s number due to a typing error
Too many discrepancies are not accepted during identification to prevent incorrect identifications. This means that the address must not contain abbreviations e.g., ”Mannerheimint.”, but rather the correct unabbreviated form should be entered, in this case, the correct form would be ”Mannerheimintie”. Similarly, apartment numbers and any letters should be entered as precisely as possible (Mannerheimintie 68 a 3) so that the right person can be identified.
